How to manage studies with job for competitive exam?

This article is about how to how to prepare for competitive exams while doing a job. While doing a job one does not get time to concentrate on studies as well.So to prepare for a competitive exam you need a correct strategy for preparation.

So, if you are preparing for a competitive exam, you should not take any coaching for this. This is so because you will not be able to attend all the classes. When preparing for these competitive exams, you won't get enough time so you must not concentrate on the theory part(as it will take up much of your time). Instead, you can make practice set of the same competitive exam and practice on a regular basis. One thing you must keep in mind that you have to prepare for one exam at a time, don't rush for more than one exam at a time as it will lead you into a dilemma and you will be confused what to study and what to the left. So please be stick to one particular exam.

Most of the exams have mainly three sections: Verbal Ability(or English), Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability(or Maths). We will consider each section one by one.

Considering the English section first. This is the easiest section which you can score you well if you have prepared for this well practically. Otherwise, it may become hard for you. If you start studying topic-wise, you can do the theory part and be able to solve the practice question at the end of the topic. But in the exam, the question comes randomly from any topic so you need a lot of practice to score well in this part.

Now let's move to the next section: Logical Reasoning. This section basically tests the reasoning knowledge of an individual. For solving these type of questions, you need to learn some tricks.

Now the question arises, from where we get to learn those tricks? The answer to this question lies in the explanation of the answer.

Now we will talk about the last section, i.e., Quantitative Ability or Maths section. As we all know this section is a calculation based so it requires much time and efficiency to solve the problems. Any mistake in either step will lead to the wrong answer, which in turn results in the deduction of the score(due to negative marking). Students try to learn the tricks in this section without practicing them. They just see that this formula will be applied to these type of questions and leave the rest calculation part. But this approach is not right. One must see the trick and apply it once by practicing manually.

One important thing I want to tell you about these three sections, that we can learn them by the explanation part more than doing it theoretically. So the best way to prepare for these kinds of exams is taking mock tests and practice sets and go through their explanation part once after solving the problems. Students do one mistake that they only see the explanation of the questions which they have attempted wrong. Instead, you have to go through the explanation of right answers also. So you must avoid this.

Now, how should you manage to study? What to do to make both things(study and office) work together? The answer is you should study before going to the office. This is so because the office hours will be around 8-10 hours and if you come back home, obviously you will be tired, and if you study then due to brain fatigue, you will not be able to concentrate on your full efficiency. So you must study before office hours.

Now the question comes how much time you should give to your studies and manages your job also? Let's suppose your office starts at 10 a.m. and if you go there by 7 a.m., then definitely the office will be closed. Now what you can do is choose a place which is near to the office, sit there for around 2 hours and 55 minutes and study with all your efforts. When the clock ticks 9:55 a.m. then you can enter your office. This will surely manage both the things. Even if you will to study for more hours, let's suppose you want to study for 4 hours, then you can reach the office at 6 a.m. and study well.

This is the solution if your office starts at 9 am or 10 am, but what if your office starts at 7 am or near it. In that situation, obviously, you will not wake up at 4 am and go there. In this case, the only option left with you is study after coming from the office. But one thing you must remember don't drink tea or coffee and sleep for around 1 or 2 hours. Drinking tea or coffee will affect your sleep, so you must not take it.

Don't set alarms!

You must not set any alarms to wake you up in the morning, instead of waking up by your self. This has a reason behind it, if you wake up by an alarm then your sleep will be disrupted but if you wake up yourself then you get an ample sleep, and that will help you to work the other day efficiently. And you can also study well the next day.

Which topic to study at which point of time?

Now, you will be thinking about which topic should I study in the morning and which one at night or in the evening? The answer to this question is pretty simple. You must always choose the hardest part first. Here, the hardest part refers to the important topics concerning the exam point of view. The topics which require more brain work should be done in the morning viz., practice exercises. And the topics which require less attention to the brain will be done in the evening viz., General Knowledge, General Awareness.

This is the simple and best way to prepare for the competitive exam while doing a job. Hope you find it useful!

How to start preparation for entrance

Q1. How to kickstart the preparation for Bank Exams? So, one of the standard questions that I have encountered is how to kick start the preparation for Bank exams. To counter attack this problem, we can start with a small example. Whenever we visit the doctor, he asks us about our problem or probably, he asks us for the symptoms. Based on the symptoms, he identifies the disease and starts the treatment. Same is the case with the Bank exams. We need to understand our weaknesses and create a plan to tackle this. Now the question is how to understand what my symptoms are? What we suggest is before you start preparing for an exam, just write a small mock for the same exam. Nowadays, we have multiple websites offering these mock exams out of which the first one is free. You can refer to our site as well for free mocks and more content related to the bank exams. Once you write the test, you will get the percentiles which will help you in deciding where do you actually stand in a par
